The trail runs on an old CSX Railroad corridor from the Suwannee River at Branford to the Ichetucknee River bridge, paralleling US 129 and US 27, with a spur to the Santa Fe River. Several parks, benches and rest stops are located along the way. This is a rural area, the western section is well shaded then it opens up to the road along US 27 (bring sunscreen and water). We've driven along the trail and visited several parks and paddling/boat launches, we present this information for those who are interested. (Map link and photos below.)
